There's a big push to be present. I do it! I encourage you to be in the present moment. I ask that you refrain from worrying about the future and ruminating about the past. But our minds go on and on, backwards and forwards. Practice finding moments to be-here-now. In these times, you have your mind, body, thoughts and emotions together in a moment. Bam! This is when you are in your power! Keeping a balance between your present moment awareness and your future expectations is an ongoing practice. It is necessary to be in the future at times, as you create plans for our life. At times it makes sense to reflect on the past, often as an opportunity to learn and be reminded of where you want to be. One tip that can help you navigate this past-present-future ride, is to be aware. Notice yourself. Pay attention to how your body is feeling in this moment. What are you thinking? How do you feel? Give yourself tune-ups like this to avoid that "bang" when the see-saw bottoms out! Let me know how it goes!
