"There’s a thin line, between love and hate” say the lyrics of an old song by the Persuaders. How often do you throw around the word LOVE, and then get so annoyed with that same loved one at their next mistake?
That’s an, “I love you, but…” situation.
Are you ready to Love Large? How would your life be different if you could love the people that you just don’t want to love? Those who have hurt you, or broken your heart can be the hardest to bestow love upon. And yet, you can seize this opportunity to spread love. Open your heart and accept that people are doing the best they can with the abilities they have.
I find that every-time my heart breaks, it grows larger. By this I mean, as my broken heart heals, it expands with compassion and acceptance. If not for the pain we have had, how can we empathize with others? If not for the heartache we endure, from what place do we offer compassion? Embrace what is. It makes you stronger.
Change your feelings toward the challenging people in your life by becoming a vibrant resource of LOVE. Notice what you love around you, and this will fill you up with feelings of love. Share smiles, laughter, pats and joy. And/or silently in your heart, express love. Expect nothing in return. Simply become loving.
“Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.” Mother Teresa
