Take a moment to sit and breathe and be present here, now. Plant your feet on the ground. Press the soles of your feet into the floor or the earth. Really be here now.
Bring your awareness to your breath, and notice your inhalation. Be with your surroundings. Notice your exhalation. Let go of tension in your body.
Now, take a moment and visualize a cord that connects you to others from your past. If your relationship with these people is complete, imagine cutting the cord that binds you. Continue to breathe and continue to cut. Release them. And free yourself.
