Sometimes I lay in bed and think of all the things I did not get done. My thoughts then shift to how I used to be so good at something and now I am not. Then, I hear virtual alarm bells! I know it's time to journal.
I want you to hear your thoughts and notice if they are self-deprecating. Rather than continue a mental list of all you could have and should have done, open a journal or notes app on your phone.
Write the numbers 1 - 5. Identify and write down 5 things you are grateful for about yourself. Think of qualities you embody that you really appreciate. Write out what you have in fact done, who you are as a person, and what you are thankful for about your physical self. Write about your gratitude for your spiritual and emotional components.
When you hear thoughts of lack, you can free yourself by turning to gratitude. Allow your "glass" to be filled.
