Do you lose patience, inspiration and motivation as the temperature dips?
It is natural to want to rest more and eat more as your body prepares for the winter months ahead. Listen to your intuition and give your body what it needs. If you find rest and eating more disturbs your mood and productivity, then try these tips:
1. Set at timer before you snuggle under a blanket for an energy boosting nap. Try 20 to 30 minutes. Prevent yourself from indulging in excess sleep that can then lead to the opposite effect.
2. When you are at your home or office and feel a chill run through your body, stand up and stretch. Then depending upon your strength and location, do a dozen jumping jacks, hold a plank pose for 20 seconds or longer, or march in place to the count of 30.
3. Next, reward yourself with a warm cup of tea or decaffeinated beverage.
