As we shift from fall to winter, nature has put on a show for us! Change is all around, especially in the northern regions. As leaves have fallen, so has the snow. Schedules are filling with plans for religious holidays, family celebrations, and outings with friends. Bundling up for winter, we protect ourselves from the chilled air and elements.
As human-beings, we are part of nature. We are also experiencing life transitions of our own making. With seasonal transition comes the desire to eat a new diet. We crave more warming foods and indoor settings. Environmental changes are a great reminder to examine what your next life goal may be.
Are you ready to improve your relationship with your romantic partner? Would you like to make a career move? Is your health and well-being at the level you desire?
Move through this season of change alongside nature and let it propel you into achieving the next greatest version of you.
To help you examine your life and identify what potential growth lies ahead for you, consider these six areas:
Personal and Spiritual Development
(What do you want to learn? What meaning do you assign to life? How could you eliminate some frustrations in your life?)
Physical Surroundings
(Would you expand or reduce your belongings? Could you re-purpose a room and create a special space for yourself? Roll up a rug or shake out a tablecloth and see how you feel!)
Romance and Relationships
(How do you rate your connectedness to your partner? What can you do to feel closer? How can you change in response to your children? What would it be like to be loving and accepting of your best peeps?)
Career and Money
(Do you love what you do? Does what you do support your lifestyle? Are you living in the moment and planning for the future?)
Fitness and Health
(Are you content with your fitness routine? Are you wishing you would do more, but just don't do it? What is one thing you could add to your diet? What is one thing you can take away?)
Joy and Contentment
(Add in what contributes to joy, eliminate what detracts from contentment)
Use a 0-10 scale to evaluate your level of satisfaction in each area. Go with your gut feeling and assign a value. When complete, identify which area holds the most importance to you and inspires you to expand. Are you willing to make these changes starting in December?
