Staying motivated is about asking the right questions.
Whether you want to stay motivated to achieve personal goals or work projects, the secret is the same.
As humans, we are distracted by the stimuli around us. Distractions can take you off course of your goal. When you feel the sensations of distraction, ask yourself this question:
"What do I want right now?" Take a moment to think through the answer. Maybe you want a salty snack. Maybe you want to call a friend. Maybe you want to search the web.
Now ask yourself, "What do I want most?" Take time with this answer. Maybe you most want to finish your project ahead of schedule. Maybe you most want to stick with healthy whole-food eating.
When you identify what you want most, let that answer be your guide to staying motivated. Now you have the secret!
