Now is a great time to review what has worked for you last year, and what you'd like to be different this year. Start by grabbing a notebook or note app, and list what you loved about 2023. Remember to cover categories around work, health and fitness, relationships, romance, personal growth and finance. Next, review each category and identify what you would like to be different. What do you want more of? What do you want less of? How do you want to show up differently? And most importantly, WHY? Coaching can help you get clear on your "why" and that clarity is the difference between taking action mindlessly, and being crystal clear and deliberate.
Oh my, Why, WHY? Because without being clear on why you want what you want, or why you don't want what you don't want, life become a series of aimless "to-do's." Being clear on WHY has a certain gravitational pull that directs you to take specific actions. An added bonus of being clear on your why is that you will always know how to show up in various situations.
For example, health and fitness may be important to you because you want to live a long and vibrant life, enjoy new experiences, and relish time with your loved ones. This would be WHY health and fitness are important to you.
If you were to then wake up tomorrow and abandon your plan to workout, you would feel the pull of your WHY. You would be able to decide that doing your workout, or even a shorter version of your workout, would support you in being true to your values.
Without that clarity, it can be very easy to skip what's most important to you in favor of what is right in front of you. Let me know what comes up for you as you explore these areas of your life and your WHY's.
