Spring has arrived and with it little sprouts of green are popping up wherever you put your attention.
Take these signs in nature as a reminder to consume your greens. Believe it or not, leafy greens contain more calcium than dairy products, without all the adverse effects of weight gain, clogged arteries, breakouts and more!
If you want to try something new, blend your greens with your favorite fruit, nut butter or seeds, pure water and a bit of cacao powder for a chocolatey flavor, or lemon for more zing. Adding banana helps create creamy texture and palatablity. Otherwise, wash your greens well, heat up some pure water in a pan, and saute them until they are bright and tender. From here, either eat as is, or add to cooked rice or pasta. Have fun getting green in alignment with Mother Nature.
