Recently I wrote about how to conduct a year in review and how to identify your wants and goals for the new year, by using the past year as a springboard. This process often takes multiple sittings to gain the clarity you need to make your goals actionable.
For me, I completed my year in review and noted my accomplishments. Here are a few:
I finally wrote my online course! I am not kidding you when I say I had been thinking about creating and implementing a course to share my coaching expertise with a broad audience for....eight years!
I joined a gym and actually go! I am committed to my workouts at #planetfitness I keep my WHY front and center so I stay inspired to go and enjoy myself!
I amped up my clean eating - sugary desserts have been minimized while fruits and veggies are maximized!
My regular gratitude practice for the mentors, collegues, clients, friends and family in my life! Woo! I am overwhelmed with appreciation for the amazing people I am so fortunate to engage with.
When it came time to address what I could have done as I wrote my year in review, I was instantly inspired in new and creative ways to take action! These "misses" became intentions for 2026! Reviewing last year is a key step to help you meet your goals!
If you follow the steps in previous blog post and Pick your 6 Intentions your next steps are to make them easily accessible, actionable and to keep them top of mind.
For me, that means creating a new list and breaking it down into categories such as:
Health and Well-Being
Career/Business Development
Social Relationships
And then getting more specific by listing specific foods I want to eat daily or specific people with whom I want to nurture a relationship. Getting specific helps to make your intentions actionable. Use post-its, index cards or enter your specifics into your calendar. The more often you see what you would like to accomplish and spend a moment reading and picturing it, the greater the likeihood that you will achieve and master your intentions!
I hope these ideas help you to get pen to paper and get the clarity you need to make your goals actionable! #lifecoach, #newyear, #2026goals, #takeaction
