Setting Intentions with Positivity

Intention is a powerful precursor to manifestation. Your deliberate thoughts focused upon the outcome you want to experience are the secret ingredients of your intentions. To begin a process of consciously intending, reserve a few moments upon waking and a few moments after lunch to set intentions for your day. If you are really ambitious, set intentions before heading to sleep.


Your intentions connect to your values. Think of your values in categories that may include the following:


  1. Health and Fitness

  2. Personal Growth

  3. Physical Environment

  4. Romance

  5. Money

  6. Career

  7. Fun and Recreation

  8. Family and Friends.


In the morning, your intentions can include intending to act upon your fitness routine. Get specific and create an intention of what your workout will look like. Take a moment and picture yourself doing the workout that makes you feel great. Next, set an intention for what you will eat today. Picture your meals and the ingredients you want to consume that nourish your body. Imagine yourself eating in a way that supports your values of health and fitness. Picture yourself eating with calmness and presence of mind, feeling grateful and nourished.


The most important relationship you have is the one you have with yourself. When you approach your day with care and thoughtfulness, your experienced outcomes will be more pleasing. If you work is stressful, take a moment to intend that you will approach your work environment with flexibility and creativity, being open to the possibility of peaceful and easy resolutions. Set intentions with positivity throughout the day.


Frame your intentions with positivity. Rather than think of what you don't want to experience, be sure to state and envision what you do want. When you picture yourself having your ideal day, you will experience an involuntary smile emerge on your face!


Take a moment to create intentions for each of the eight domains of life listed above. With those in mind, notice with gratitude where you are already in alignment with your intentions.

Before heading off to bed...intend to have the dreams you want, the slumber you crave and to wake up rejuvenated! You've got the power. I can't wait to hear about the results you experience when you set intentions!
