Sweaters are cozy and hats are a necessity. But when you warm up from the inside, the heat is radiant!
Add these to your bowl this week:
1. Fresh Ginger - Peel and dice or shred a one-inch piece of fresh ginger into your next dish. Ginger is found either by the root vegetables or the herbs in your local grocery store. It is aromatic and rich in heat-building spice. You remember how ginger-ale is a remedy for an upset stomach? Fresh ginger is a solution for this as well.
2. Cayenne and Chili Flakes - Add one eighth of a teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper or a moderate sprinkling of red chili flakes to your next meal. These spices can be added to pasta dishes, chili or your whatever your favorite may be. The warmth of these brightly colored spices will take the chill right out of the air!
3. Cinnamon - Add it to your oatmeal or sprinkle it on your coffee or tea. Cinnamon, while paired mostly with desserts, also has a warming quality that will add heat and sweetness to your day! Stay warm and be well!
